Apple and Firestone

Paul McGowan of PSA audio wrote recently in his monthly text very interesting topic. He's writing about Apple TV box. It offers very nice and cheap media playback. And every thing is packed into great small aluminum box. You can connect it directly to your amplifier via rca jacks. This means that you can store all of you music combined of mp 3's, wav, aiff or flac at one place with the simple and top class Apple software on top.

What is even greater is optical output. If you want better quality audio; " no problemo!" Just connect Firestone audio Spitfire Dac if you have or grab one here from Miniature audio.

Back to the plastics

You might be following the phenomena with vinyl. It is the only physical audio media which sells are increasing in past two years. I finally found some time to set up the turntable. Korora phone pre-amplifier is on the way from Miniature audio and I'm all excited. There is still so much music which is only available on the vinyl.

For those of you who didn't have a chance to experience the whole analog listening fun. It' never been more affordable to get into vinyl nirvana.

If you want to get yourself a doze of music in kind of going to concert way, then invest few hundreds $.

Back from the trip I had to go. Recently I add Firestone power supplier into the audio chain. Many of audio fans can be very skeptic about the use of additional supply unit. Well, trust me. Well constructed power supply can really enrich whole audio experience. Power supplier is only few days in the rig and I could quickly distinguish the difference. I'll report more in this regard after having it around for a while.

Jumping the wagon
